Custom Programming
Custom Programming Services
Custom website programming is essential if you want to transform your website from a simple page-based site to a dynamic website that enriches your visitors experience or eases your website maintenance tasks.
Custom web applications give your web site visitors a richer and more satisfying experience on your website. This can pay off in a higher percentage of returning visitors, more website traffic and a higher return on your investment.
You can also automate processes that you might currently perform manually. Time saving features like this can lower your ongoing costs and increase your bottom line.
Programming Modifications
If you have an existing web application or pre-built script, we can modify it to add or change features or functions. This type of work is billed on an hourly basis. We provide an estimate range for the work but because the code has been written by another firm we cannot make any promises that we will not exceed the estimate. This is because we cannot possibly anticipate problems we may encounter in the already existing code. If we are familiar with the script we can give you a much more accurate estimate, otherwise we will give you a best-case and worst-case price range with a cap on how much you want to budget for the work.
Custom Programming Work
We apply industry best practices process to plan, develop and implement custom website applications.
Our first step is to construct visual models based on interviews with you so you can see exactly what is there, how it is laid out and what happens when you click on a particular button or link. No programming work is done at this stage. The visual prototype is refined until it is an accurate visual blueprint of your completed project.
Working from your completed model, we create working blueprints with technical and graphics designs specifications, including any diagrams that are found to be necessary to accurately lay out your project. On large projects, the work is broken down into phases that are organized by the type of work and priority of functionality. This goes to our technical professionals for a full estimate.
When we have an approved estimate, your project is booked and scheduled and programming work begins and your working model is converted into a fully functional system. Large projects are broken up into phases and as each phase is completed, it is confirmed against your completed model. Each completed release is visually confirmed, tested and acknowledged as complete. The final step of this stage is installation and testing on your computer system or hosting service.
In this stage, your content and information is prepared for installation in the completed system. Content includes any written materials, images that are not part of your interface or page designs, manuals, and other materials. During this stage, user training and orientation is quoted, scheduled and delivered if it is found to be needed. Each installation and training step is confirmed as complete and when you are ready, your project goes live. This stage is estimated and billed separately from the development stage.

Understanding how color works on Web pages
The browser-safe color palette will ensure that most people will see your page and images in the colors you intended.
When many people first start building their Web pages, they create pages in colors that they like. If you're lucky or have a good eye, you'll end up with colors that look nice together.

Know your audience, and keep them in mind when you write.
If your Web pages are frequented by people with slower modems then designing a page that looks best over a T1 is not a successful strategy. The speed of the Internet is finally getting faster.
But even with these increases, it is important that you perform Web site optimization on your pages to get the fast download speeds your customers are looking for.
